Dylan Piatti currently serves as Senior Chief of Staff for the African Consumer & Industrial Products
Industry group of Deloitte – the largest industry globally and on the continent – working with listed and
private clients through the value chain from manufacturers to retailers. He is responsible for global and
local stakeholder engagement, go-to-market strategy, operations, & driving a Pan-African industry
As a Board Member he Co-Chairs the Africa Ecommerce Forum (EFA) & Chairs the Africa Integration
Portfolio; he also leads the future growth strategy for iconic Arts NGO MIDM; He’s facilitated discussions
& been on panels with CEO’s, International & Government representatives, including the Africa Agri
Investment Indaba (future of food production in Africa); the Future of Ecommerce in Africa; Africa’s
development through export led growth & the future of Export Councils; and leveraging eCommerce &
the Digital Economy for Africa’s economic development in partnership with the G20. He was part of the
private sector delegation that presented the inaugural Esibayeni Declaration to the SADC 15 member
state ministers, is involved with the NEPAD Business Foundation SABF Africa Industrialisation working
committees, and sits on the national Treasury (Department of Telecommunications & Postal Services)
Ecommerce working committee.
Dylan launched the inaugural SA Manufacturing competitiveness report ’13, and is currently running the
1st ever Pan-African MFG competitiveness project. He is co-Author of the African Powers of Retail & the
African Powers of Consumer Products report (launching in March’17)
Dylan is a qualified futurist (Cum Laude), focusing through the value chain from manufacturing to retail.
As a Futurist Dylan provides scenario based, systemic thinking approaches to solutions in an uncertain,
disruptive and exponential world.
